These photographs document some of the 48,305 miles of state-maintained secondary roads found in the state of Virginia. All are found off of Route 29 South.
I really like the second picture. I don't even understand it, but I find it fascinating. I like how the pieces of wood holding the tree up are so homemade and mis-matched. I especially like how one of them looks like it has been painted on black, which gives it an illusion of trying be part of the tree. All the angles and crosses make it so interesting to look at.
I really like the detail on the last one. And I yellows and reds, especially the lights at the top and the newspaper box.
